The world football’s governing body Fifa says the draw for the last phase of Africa’s 2010 Soccer Word Cup qualifiers has been changed from the original October 24 to October 22.

The draw will be held in Zurich and divide the last 20 contenders into five groups of four.

The group winners will qualify for the World Cup finals in South Africa, while the top three finishers will participate in the 2010 African Nations Cup finals in Angola.

This weekend, Africa will have definite results of national teams who make it through to the third and final round of the joint African Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifying matches.

All participating teams will fight to join the three countries already qualified for the final round. Only Benin, Cameroon and Nigeria have already secured their berths, but the other 17 qualifiers will be known after second round group phase is completed this weekend.

Meanwhle, Zimbabwe’s Warriors arrived Thursday in Namibia for their final 2010 World Cup/Nations Cup Group Two qualifier hoping that the gods of football will throw one final dramatic twist to keep alive a campaign that now appears to have faded into a nightmare.
