Dynamos and Cotonsport clash in CAN / WC qualifiers
Al Ahly and Enyimba meet in Cairo
Dynamos FC of Zimbabwe and Cameroonian champions, Cotonsport Garoua will clash in a do or die game. The match kicks off this afternoon at the Stade Omnisports Roumde-Adja.

Cotonsport are unbeaten at home in this campaign and their impressive record includes scoring 14 goals at their favourite hunting ground.

Their 3-0 destruction of former champions and Nigerian giants Enyimba in their final Group B game has given Cotonsport and their legion of fans reason to be believe that they have already sealed their place in the final.

The other semi-final pitting Al Ahly and Enyimba will also be decided today when the five-time champions host the Nigerians in Cairo tonight with their first leg having ended in a 0-0 draw in Abba two weeks ago.

But it is Dynamos who face a much tougher task in their bid to overcome the 0-1 deficit they incurred in Harare two weeks ago. They spurned a number of opportunities that came their way in the first leg before conceding a goal they could have easily avoided had they been more alert to deal with a Cotonsport counter attack.

While Cotonsport have a proud record at home, Dynamos appear to reserve the best of their performances in this campaign for their away matches.

Their victories over Tunisia’s Etoile du Sahel (1-0) in the second round, second leg and the 2-1 triumph over Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas in a Group A reverse fixture in Abidjan are stuff that has coloured Dynamos’ Cinderella story in this campaign.
