Ablaye M'baye's real name is Abdoulaye M'baye; he was born blind in Dakar in a family
of "griots", traditional singers bringing sense and spirituality to a village's life.
Ablaye has been performing since the age of twelve, touring with Youssou N'dour
as a back-up singer.
Ablaye has significant talent: the proof is in the five albums he released in Senegal:
Agnès, Xalei, Maguena...etc.
Most recently, he was declared a "gold album seller" (100,000 copies)
with La Mafia K'1 fry having been featured on a Kery James' song. |
