He started to play music at the age of 9 in church as a vocalist. From 1988 to 1997 he played with different groups within Africa such as Wenge Musica Bcbg, Litong bouge, Chic Zaventem, Chic vis-a-vis, Rumba stars, Lomerica Jazz band and Top Musica. Inside Europe he has played with Afro magic. Afro magic was created in Budapest( Hungary ) by M'baye ndiaye and the music is base on traditional african rythms from a variety of countries within Africa. Mixing authentic african instruments with modern instruments such as saxo,electric guitar and keyboard, it was the first time in music history where traditional instruments met with modern instruments. Therefore the "Rythm is Afro and the harmony is magic" Alfred Belcanto perfomed with the Afro magic at Gala-Cegled 98 in Hungary - Pepsi sziget festival in Hungary( one of the Europe biggest festival ) in year 1998,1999,2000,2001,2002 and 2004. - Poland percussion festival 2000 and 2001. - A Nationalwide tours in Hungary in year 2003. The beggining of 2002 Alfredo met with Bali istvan N'GEE and created a group called the C.O.D.E.
