What should you do if you’ve been stung by a jellyfish?

Treating jellyfish stings -
good call on using sea water to rinse the jelly wound...I do not agree about rubbing the wound for fear that in doing so, one would compress the nematocysts deeper into the skin...been around the beach for 40+ years..been stung by just about every marine stinger...use vinegar or a product called StingMate...both are very effective at lifting the stinging cells from the wound...almost immediate relief...thanks for the article..keep the sunny side up...BL - Wednesday 8 September 2010 - 00:25
