In this year’s state Democratic primary, more than 400,000 voters went to the polls compared with 76,000 who voted in 2004. The world soccer governing body, FIFA, is sending a special team to Kenya to lay the groundwork for the Kenya Football Federation (KFF) elections coming up in December. After going behind the community to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) over a land that belonged to the natives, without the permission and knowledge of the land owners, Shell Petroleum have been ordered to surrender the oil rich land back to its rightful native owners, a Rivers State High Court ruled. - Wednesday 15 October 2008
