Algeria - Egypt - Libya - Morocco - Tunisia
As hundreds of thousands of Egyptians in Cairo’s Tahrir Square celebrated the resignation of President Hosni Mubarak on 11 February, some held up mobile phones to snap photos of the crowd, others sent Twitter messages to their friends and a few wielded signs proclaiming, “Thank you, Facebook.” - Thursday 24 March 2011


Namibia - Zimbabwe
Following the recent ’Twitter-Facebook inspired revolutions’ in Libya, Tunisia, Egypt and other Middle East countries, Namibian leader, President Hifikepunye Pohamba, has sent a strong warning to his party’s inner circle. Meanwhile, in neighbouring Zimbabwe, political propaganda are increasingly dependent on text messaging with Mugabe’s party being the latest to jump on the bandwagon. - Friday 18 March 2011


Libya - France
Following Nicolas Sarkozy’s acknowledgment of the leadership of the Libyan rebel movement, the National Libyan Council, as the country’s legitimate government, Gaddafi’s regime has threatened to reveal a secret that could cause the fall of the French President. - Thursday 10 March 2011


Whilst Muammar Gaddafi’s eccentric lifestyle has been a subject of constant amazement within political circles, the entertainment industry might view things differently.
