5. Morocco is in his land. It has nothing to do with mining or phosphates. The phosphates in the Western Sahara region represent 1% of the national reserves. Everything else is about propaganda and intellectual misery. - Monday 2 August 2010 - 18:01

4. There are very few separatists in the Western Sahara region. It happens that police forces make abuses during separatism strikes but that could happen in Ireland, Corsica or Los Angeles. When it happens the moroccan authorities make the right decision to punish all those who make abuses. Morocco is a new democracy improving its human rights policies. 2. People retained (because that's the right world) in Tindouf camps are less than 50.000 people according to many ex-leaders of Polisario Front, the separatist faction backed in Tindouf camps south Algeria. FYI, since 1976, about 7000 people fled the camps to return to their motherland. 3. People living in Tindouf camps have no basic human rights. They are not allowed to move freely, to get married freely, to learn freely…It's all under control of Polisario leaders and officials. - Monday 2 August 2010 - 17:59

As a western saharawi, I would like to recitfy some wrong information on the article above : 1. Before 1884 and the western protectorate, the kingdom of Morocco was united from the north to the south (Western Sahara region). Many international treaties notified the historical relationship between the Moroccan royalties and the Western Sahara region. Besides, many Moroccan dynaties came from the Western Sahara region. - Monday 2 August 2010 - 17:59
