France-based striker Dennis Oliech is among the high-pro file players dropped from the Kenyan squad that will face Namibia in the 6 September World Cup qualifier return match.

Oliech who plays for French side Auxerre is serving a suspension after receiving two yellow cards in the ongoing event which also doubles as the 2010 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Others who did not make the team for various reason are overlapping defender Ibrahim Shikanda and injured goalkeeper, Arnold Origi, who is based in Sweden.

Coach Francis Kimanzi, who named the team which starts residential training Monday, in the Kenyan capital Nairobi, said there was no point calling up the injured Origi.

As for Oliech, he said, the case was straight forward – he must serve his suspension as per the FIFA rules.

Making a comeback to international soccer is Mohammed Jamal who turns out for Swedish second division team, Enkoping SK.

Also back in the team are Belgium-based Victor Wanyama and central defence kingp in Mulinge Munandi, who plays for the Kenya armed forces side, Ulinzi.

Evans Amuoka is the only relatively unknown name in the squad.

Captain Robert Mambo will lead the foreign-based professionals, who jet in 31 August.

Ghana are the last team to leave but not before African unity becomes reality...
