Enyimba takes over Nigeria League

Organisers have shelved their plan to suspend the league till the end of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana, saying it would affect their programme and the FA Cup.

Enyimba Football Club of Aba, in Nigeria’s South-east, has overtaken Niger Tornadoes on top of the Nigeria Premier League, as the second round of the league started across the country Wednesday.
