Paris Police Department has started an inquiry into the disappearance of Katoucha Niane. Persons close to the former Super Model from Guinea have been searching for her since last Friday. A source close to the Police inquiry says that no stone is being left unturned in the search for Katoucha.

So what has become of Katoucha? A very frustrating question indeed, particularly to her close family and friends. The ex Super Model has completely disappeared from everyone’s view since last Friday, thus, alarming persons close to her. The Police alerted on Monday while the public prosecutor’s office referred the case to the anti crime brigade.

No one has been able to reach Yves Saint Laurant’s (YSL) muse since friends accompanied her back home from a festive night out. According to the Le Figaro (a French daily newspaper), she was dropped off near a houseboat close to her own houseboat.

The French daily further claims that the 47 year old Katoucha, author of, “Dans ma chair” (in my skin) – her autobiographie in which she talks about her excision – was drunk. Katoucha who cannot swim and is also near-sighted was not wearing her medicated lenses. Her glasses including her mobile phone and credit card were found in her bag the next morning by her landlord’s son. A source close to the investigation confirmed to AFP that all motives are being examined “Accident or Suicide in the Seine River for example”.

The media is already announcing the death of the “African Princess” (La Princesse Peule). The river brigade has, however, not found her body in the Seine known for its particularly strong currents.
