The Olympic team of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroons left France Saturday night, for Japan. While in the land of the rising sun, the Cameroonian team will on Thursday, June 12 play a friendly match against their Japanese alter ego.
The friendly is part of the general preparation schedule drawn by head coach Ntougou Martin and his assistant Ndoumbe Bosso. These preparations are aimed at drilling their boys, before the Beijing Olympic Games starts.
Asked on the moral of the Olympic team of Cameroon, Tignem Amour Patrick, the team captain and goalkeeper, said, their moral was high and that they are exuding an Olympian calm, in anticipation of their expected action.
The Olympic football team of Cameroon, along with Nigeria as well as the Ivory Coast, are the three teams that qualified to represent African football at the Chinese Olympics in August.
The Cameroonian Olympic team will camp in the Greater Paris Region town of Lisses, for a period of three weeks. They will leave directly for China, after their preparation in France is completed.
