Fears of a devastating health condition and possible death of the Nigerian president held by her concerned citizens have been brought to rest as the country’s president Umaru Yar’Adua returned to the country yesterday, September 7th.

Over two weeks ago, the President left the country to perform the lesser hajj. But he may have needed a medical attention whilst on his mission as reports came of his admission to a Saudi hospital.

The country had been soaked with stories of the president’s well being and possible death following reports that he had gone under the knife and was in coma.

With doubts over the president’s health still in the air, reports claim that the presidency is willing to open up to the country in the weeks ahead.

The issue of Yar’Adua’s health has been in the media since when in 2007 he was rumoured to have died during a medical trip to Germany during the campaign.
