Reports from Kenya say five people have been detained and security has been increased around Alego-Kogello village, where Barrack Obama’s grandmothers’ house was broken into.

The report which says the robbery took place on Wednesday night also indicated that the thieves broke down the kitchen door but were unable to take apart the panels of the solar panel and nothing else was stolen.

According to the Kenyan police, the thieves were trying to steal a solar panel from Sarah Hussein Obama’s tin roof. Police have since stepped up security in the village.

There is now a 24-hour security patrol in the entire village to curb any further incidents, police have assured.

Mrs Sarah Hussein Obama who now feared for her safety was quoted as saying that the thieves were just people from around who think that Obama has been sending her a lot of money.
