Kylie Minogue, Stevie Wonder, Warda Al Jasairia and Chab Khaled are among a long list of celebrities to take part in the star studded Mawazine music festival, taking place from May 15 to 23 in Morocco.
The the 8th edition of the music festival Mawazine has attracted large audiences from all over the world.
Record numbers of music enthusiasts have shown up for the various concerts, with more than fifty thousand attending a concert given by the Algerian pop star and king of Rai music, Khaled.
The first three days of the festival were marked by concerts featuring Kylie Minogue, Chab Khaled, former UB 40 Ali Campbell and the white Zulu, Johnny Clegg. Warda and Stevie Wonder are among the many international stars who reported present as euphoric Moroccan, Spanish, French and Algerian fans, sporting festive hats and water guns, flocked to the Moroccan city of Rabat.
The organizers of this year’s event have so far honoured their promise to offer spectators with a diverse cultural program featuring both Moroccan and universal cultures around a single theme, namely, tolerance. The idea behind the theme is to reconcile all cultures through the uniting force of music.
