DJ $crilla Nominated for Best Album at 2009 Ohio Hip Hop Awards

Groundbreaking singer, songwriter and producer, DJ $crilla has been nominated for Best Album, “Me, Myself, and I” by the 2009 Ohio Hip Hop Awards. The winner will be announced on Saturday, September 19 at Music Hall Cleveland in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.

Over the past 16 years, DJ $crilla’s vocal and rhythmic style has been compared to the likes of Ludacris and Big Boi of OutKast. His story telling abilities follow in the steps of Tupac Shakur, those that captivate his listeners through personal experiences.

DJ $crilla is widely known within the Fraternity and Sorority community, where he has written and produced songs for over 50 Greek chapters Nationwide, including the University of Maryland, Kent State University and University of California Irvine. He has opened performances for Lloyd, Ryan Cabrera, Petey Pablo, JoJo, 8 Ball & MJG, and Kevin Lyttle.
