Numerous state agencies will conduct a belated Black History Month celebration at noon on Thursday, March 18, at the Forum Auditorium in Harrisburg. The event originally was scheduled for Feb. 10 – during Black History Month – but inclement weather forced its postponement.
The program, which will focus on the history of black economic empowerment, will include musical performances. It is co-sponsored by the Governor’s Advisory Commission on African American Affairs, the Public Utility Commission, the Historical and Museum Commission, and the departments of Aging, Banking, General Services, Revenue, State, and Community and Economic Development.
