Due to its close proximity to the Ghana – Ivory Coast border, The Nigerian Super Eagles have been warned of a possible flood of Ivorian supporters to Sekondi, the venue of the first match between Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire. Mr. Ike Okolo, advised the footballers not to panic under harsh criticisms, crowd hostilities or even an early outing.

Meanwhile, Nigeria has been named as the continents top team on the FIFA ranking ahead of the CAN tournament. The Ivory Coast placed fifth.

This should console the Team’s Berti Vogt, who made training camp for the Eagles compulsory. Setanta Sports reported last week that he was not too happy with salary payments and might decide to resign from his position.
