French Secretary of State for Co-operation, Jean-Marie Bockel, is to discuss the French-African relations with African students next Wednesday in Saint-Denis, near the French capital, according to a French government statement made avilable to PANA Friday. The parley with the African students would be held in the presence of the French Ambassador to Senegal, Jean-Christophe Ruffin. According to its organisers, the meeting, proposed by the presidency of the University of Paris 8, is meant to get the views of the African civil society, particularly young people, on the French-African relations. They will also discuss the issues of mobility for students, the link between training and employment as well as the co-operation between French and African universities. Africa supplies 57 per cent of the total number of foreign students registered in France.
