The Libyan leader, Kadhafi, announced on Friday in Addis Ababa that an African federal government would be formed next July during the 11th African Union (AU) summit scheduled to be held in Cairo, Egypt.
He said the ongoing AU Summit had agreed on the formation of a presidential commission for the design of a concept for the creation of this government. “Africans must wait for the next African summit in July 2008 and we will inform them of the outcome of this summit,” he told PANA.
