Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has taken delivery of a new Boeing 737-800 airplane and will receive two others in March and October, the national carrier said in a statement in Rabat Tuesday. Two other planes of the same model were delivered to RAM in 2007. The statement said the B737-800 incorporates all the enhancements found on other members of the next-generation 737 family, including a redesigned passenger cabin, and delivers high reliability, reduced operating and maintenance costs and flight deck commonality. These investments ”show the willingness of the carrier to consolidate the expansion and modernisation of its fleet side by side with the development and the diversification of its international network,” it said. RAM, as well as its subsidiary ”Atlas Blue”, now operates a fleet of 45 airplanes, including one B747-400, three B767-300, two B757-200, four A321-200, 15 B737-800, six B737-700, six B737-500 and six B737-400.
