A cold wave which swept across Libya over the past few days has brought with it heavy snowfalls since Monday in the region of Jabal Al-Akhdhar in the north-east, the first in 11 years, meteorological sources said in Tripoli.
The sources said that these snowfalls, which were 25 cm high, covered roads, plains and mountains causing disruption in the traffic on the road.
These snowfalls also affected the cities of Beidha, Lamlouda, Al-Abrag, Chahat, Al-Faydiya, Messa and Derna.
