Senegal’s Wade visits Libya

Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade arrived in Libya Thursday evening at the head of a strong delegation of his government on a visit. President Wade will hold talks with Leader Muammar Kadhafi, the current chairman of the Community of the Sahelian-Saharan States (CEN-SAD) on how to consolidate the African Union (AU) and the CEN-SAD, in addition to several other African issues. The Senegalese leader, whose country is a member of the CEN-SAD last visited Libya on January 27, when he took part, alongside Kadhafi and some other leaders on the continent, in a consultation meeting in Tripoli, to review the agenda of the AU’s 10th summit, held from January 31 to February 2 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
