An extraordinary heads of state and government summit of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) will hold next Monday in Kinshasa on the situation in Chad, the Congolese Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ministry said here Thursday. According to the same source, the summit will assess the political and security situation in Chad. The meeting will be presided over by ECCAS incumbent Chairman, Congolese President Joseph Kabila. The Congolese cabinet has been participating in a workshop on ECCAS since Tuesday. The workshop was initiated by President Kabila in a bid to meet, during his tenure, the challenges posed facing the community, mainly on the economic front. Panapress
