Moroccan police at the northern port of Tangiers have seized 800kg of chira (cannabis resin) estimated at 3 million euros on board a vehicle loaded with furniture, Moroccan news agency, MAP, reported. The drug, aimed for the French market, was found in vehicle bound for the southern Spanish city of Algesiras. The driver of the vehicle and a passenger, aged 22 and 21 respectively, were arrested, MAP added, without specifying their nationality. In 2007, dozens of drug traffickers from various countries were arrested and 35 tonnes of hashish seized at the port of Tangiers. Panapress.
