Benin’s International Drama Festival (FITHEB) will convene its ninth edition 22-30 March in the five districts of the country, organisers said here Saturday. The event will bring together 24 drama teams from 14 countries in Africa, Europe and the US. The participants will perform in Cotonou, Porto-Novo, Ouidah, Abomey and Parakou . The festival will also be marked by a book exhibition on drama, a show on Benin’s crafts, a round table discussion, a photo exhibition and a visual art exhibition. Organisers are budgetting FCFA 400 million for the festival – half of this amount will be provided by the Benin government. Panapress.
