Eight persons were feared dead when a boat capsized on Easter Sunday along the Oloto/Igbo-Egunrin waterway in Nigeria’s South-west Ondo state, the local press reported Tuesday. The accident was said to have been caused by water hyacinth along the waterway. Rescuers have retrieved the bodies of six of the victims, including four men and two women. Some 12 persons were believed to have survived the mishap, since the boat was carrying 20 passengers when it capsized. Panapress.
