The President of Mali, Amadou Toumani Touré, is expected to travel to Nigeria’s capital city of Abuja Wednesday for a 48-hour visit, the protocol service of the Presidency announced Tuesday. President Toure will attend the prize-awarding ceremony of the Carter Centre, which is engaged in the fight against Guinea worm, a debilitating disease that still ravages some parts of sub-Saharan Africa, including Mali.
