Eleven heads of state and government from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) are due in Mauritius this weekend for the organisation’s summit on poverty scheduled for Sunday. King Mswati III of Swaziland arrived on Friday morning, and was greeted at the airport by by Mauritian PM Navin Ramgoolam in the presence of several personalities. Comoran President Ahmed Abdallah Mohamed Sambi and Angolan PM Dias Dos Santos were due to arrive in the afternoon. Other leaders expected include Presidents Marc Ravalomanana of Madagascar, Bingu Wa Mutharika of Malawi, Armando Guebuza of Mozambique, Hifikepunye Pohamba of Namibia, Thabo Mbeki of South Africa and Patrick Levy Mwanawasa of Zambia.
