Mrs. El Bakri, African Development Bank’s deputy president in charge of sectoral operations, budget support, decentralisation, good governance, education, health and the agricultural sector was scheduled to arrive in DR Congo Tuesday (22April). News of the arrival was broken to journalists by the Bank’s Representative in Kinshasa, Medjomo Coulibaly, on Monday. This visit, he said, is aimed at helping to improve the portfolio of the Bank funds in the listed sectors and also explore the prospects for cooperation between the Bank and the DRC. Medjomo said the Bank’s projects in DRC, in the agricultural sector alone, were worth US$600 million.
