Petraeus to be chief of US central command

The current top US commander in Iraq, general David Petraeus, will be the next chief of US Central Command according to CNN. Petraeus will replace Admiral William Fallon who announced his resignation last month. The reason of his resignation, according to him, was the rumor about how his point of view on Iran differed from the one of the Bush administration. Mr. Fallon has always denied this being so but said that the rumors made his job to hard to manage thus his resignation.
