Eleven people were killed and several others injured in Zimbabwe Saturday when the bus they were travelling in was involved in an accident near the Zimbabwean capital.
Police said the accident took place near the farming town of Marondera, about 75 kilometres east of Harare.
Nine of the victims died on the spot while the other two died later in the hospital.
Some of the injured were in critical condition, with a strong possibility that the death toll might rise, police said.
It was unclear what caused the accident, but police in Zimbabwe routinely blame vehicle crashes on drunken driving and over-speeding.
