North and Sub-Saharan African pharmacists cooperate against illegal drugs

Pharmacists unions from the Maghreb and Sub-Saharan Africa Friday called on governments to be extremely vigilant and cooperate in efforts to stamp out illicit drug markets”, according to a statement from the Mauritanian Chemists Association. The call was made as a workshop, organised by the Mauritanian Chemists Association, drew to a close Friday. The unions also called for a greater cooperation “to eradicate HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria”.
