Manchester defeats Barcelona to make the first all English final

Manchester United beat Barcelona yesterday with Paul Scholes scoring the only goal of the Champions League semi final in Old Trafford. The result will be the first ever all English Champions League final in history with Manchester United facing the winner of tonight’s other semi final, Chelsea-Liverpool. There have been two other occasions when the country to receive the Champions League cup was known before the final, in 2000 with the Real Madrid – Valencia final and 2003 with an AC Milan-Juventus final.
