Some 14 illegal immigrants from Sub-Sahara and Asia, who attempted to join the Spanish enclave of Melimma, were Wednesday arrested by Moroccan security forces in Nador (north-east), local authorities have announced. The immigrants, ten Sub-Saharans and four Asians, illegally entered Morocco via “the Algerian border”, according to sources.
They were arrested during a search operation launched in a community located 40 km of Nador. Since the beginning of the year, more than 700 illegal immigrants have been arrested in the Moroccan province.
