Burundi’s national football team Sunday in Bujumbura advanced to the second round of the qualifiers of the African Under-17 championship, despite losing 0-1 to Malawi. In the first leg, Burundi beat Malawi 2-1. Burundi will lock horns with Cameroon in the next round. Rwanda will host the Under-17 finals in August 2009.
