Congo gets 5 million condom donation

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has donated 5 million male condoms to the National AIDS Control Council(SEP/CNLS) in Congo, an official source indicated on Thursday. “UNFPA was tasked to supply countries with condoms as part of the distribution of mandates between the UN system agencies fighting HIV/AIDS,” UNFPA’s Representative in Brazzaville, Richard Dackham, said. National AIDS control Council executive secretary in Congo, Marie-Francke Puruehnce, said the national condom policy includes the sale of the product at a subsidised price and free distribution.
