Morgan Tsvangirai arrested while campaigning

Morgan Tsvangirai, Zimbabwe opposition leader of the Movement for Democratic Change has been detained by the police — In what seems like a plan to disrupt the opposition’s planned campaign — while campaigning for his party ahead of the country’s run-off election slated for June 27. According to the BBC, he was detained at a roadblock north of Bulawayo in the morning. AFP reports also claim that MDC spokeman, Nelson Chamisa has confirmed that Tsvangirai has been taken into a charge office in Lupane.
