Morocco to get 24 F-16 fighter planes

Morocco has officially ordered 24 F-16 fighter planes from the aircraft manufacturers Lockheed Martin for a total cost of US$ 233.6 million, local media reported Saturday. The first deliveries will be made in 2011, local newspapers quoted the manufacturers as saying. Last December, the Pentagon announced plans to sell 24 F-16 planes as well as related equipments and services for a total cost of US$ 2.4 billion. Morocco is the 25th country in the world to get F-16 fighter planes.
