The death toll of the number of people who died in a road accident Saturday on Great East road near Nyimba district, Zambia’s eastern province, has risen from 20 to 27, police spokesperson Bonny Kapeso confirmed. Some 54 others are said to have sustained injuries and are admitted in hospital, while two of those who died included children. According to police, the accident happened after the driver of a Marcopolo bus travelling from Chipata, eastern province, to Lusaka, lost control following a right front tyre burst.
