Nigerian music legend Oliver De Coque dies

Barely two months after Nigeria lost three key music practitioners, another legend, Oliver De Coque, died Friday, the Punch newspaper reported Sunday. Ozidi singer, Sonny Okosuns; a far younger Sammy Needle; and legendary musicologist, Steve Rhodes, had died in relatively quick succession, thereby throwing the Nigerian entertainment industry into continual mourning. As if those were not enough, Oliver de Coque too died in a private a hospital in Gbagada area of south western state of Lagos.
Although the nature of the ailment that killed him could not be confirmed, the newspaper quoted a source as saying his corpse had been deposited at the Gbagada General Hospital.
