Dahoud Ould Sebty, a presumed member of “Ansar Allah Almourabitoune Vi Biladi Chinguitt”, an Islamist terror movement, was arrested Saturday by Mauritanian security forces, the local media reported Sunday. Sources close to judicial authorities indicate that the alleged terrorist was arrested while wandering near a thermal electric power station, in the outskirts of Nouakchott. The terrorist movement to which Dahoud Ould Sebty is alleged to belong was dismantled 30 April, after fighting broke out in the heart of the capital, Nouakchott, an incident which prompted a three-week manhunt that has led to the arrest of several members of the movement, including Sidi Ould Sidna and khadim Ould Seman, the alleged killers of the four French tourists in the South-east of the country in December 2007. Sebty is on a list of around 20 persons most wanted by the police since April 2008. The other suspected terrorists are in custody in a military barrack since May.
