Train and lorry crash kills several in Zimbabwe

Nine people were killed and four others injured after a lorry in which they were travelling rammed into a train at a rail inter-section in northern Zimbabwe Thursday, police here said. Police said eight of the victims died on the spot, and one later in hospital. The deceased included the driver of the truck, his wife and their child. They said the vehicle was dragged for about eight metres after it rammed into the train, before being thrown away. Investigations into the crash were underway, police said.
