Cameroon’s L1 national football championship for the year 2008-2009 will kick off 27 September with 16 teams vying for honours, according to a statement issued here by the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT).
The competition, initially scheduled to kick off 13 September, was postponed because only two teams met the conditions for participation in the championships. To date, only five teams have fulfilled the requirement and FECAFOOT has therefore extended the deadline for submission of entry to 8 September.
