Saudi Arabia has offered Mali more than 3,600 tonnes of rice, amounting to 1.2 billion FCFA, with a view to helping the African country strengthen its food security, official sources said Monday. The sources said the commodity would be sent to different localities in the coun try to enhance the food security system put in place several years ago by the Malian government. A large part will also be distributed to the underprivileged people during the month of Ramadan, the sources added.
