Benin makes food and cash donation to flood stricken Togo

The Beninese government has donated 400 50-kilogramme bags of maize, 5,000 mosquito nets and cash to the tune of 100 million FCFA to Togo to enable the neighbouring country cushion the effects of the severe floods which caused extensive damage to the west African country. Benin’s public television reported Sunday that the donation was taken to Togo by a Beninese delegation which visited Lome recently. Togo was hit by severe floods in July.
