President of Mauritius gets a another five year term

A new five-year term has been approved for the President of Mauritius, Sir Anerood Jugnauth, whose current term ends 30 September, official sources announced Saturday. The new term was approved during the country’s weekly cabinet meeting. In Mauritius, the President is the Head of State, yet he has no executive power which is exercised by the Prime Minister.
