Football : Italian coach of Gambian national U-20 team resigns

The Italian-born head coach of Gambia’s U-20 soccer team , Lorenzo Rubinacci, has resigned his post due to pressing family matters. Rubinacci’s resignation is said to have been prompted by his mother’s illness. Sources said the coach even left for home in July after his team’s victory over the Mauritanians in Nouakchott. The Italian-born coach who was on a two-year contract before retuning home, has been succeeded by his Gambian assistant Lamin Sarr on an acting capacity.
