US navy ship ELROD arrived at the Apapa port in Nigeria’s commercial city of Lagos Wednesday at the start of a six-day visit. During the visit, the ship will engage in a joint training exercise with the Nigerian Navy. The visit is expected to pave the way for continuous US assistance to the Nigerian Navy in developing emergency response structures in the country.
