Mali’s junior national soccer team, the Eaglets, on Sunday in Cotonou beat its Beninese counterpart 2-0 in a qualifying match for the African (Under-20) Youth Championship slated for Rwanda in 2009.
The goals were scored by Yacouba Diarra (11th minute) and Samba Sow (90th).
